Well,
this summer holiday was very very short and boring. Me and Alisha got bored as hell. We spent our days as any normal teenaigers would i.e. surfing the net.
Last summer, we bought a long (victorian type) dress from some market and I went to look for it in our small hut in our backyard. Well, while rummaging through tons and tons of unwanted clothes, my eyes caught the attention of khatas hanging out there.
For people who dont know what a khata is, here is a brief explanation. It is a ceremonial scarf used in Tibet and Mongolia. Here is a picture:
This is the material that inspired "soft touch dress". It is currently being made by me and Alisha.
To be honest, this is the type of material that you would try to avoid the best because of its fragility and delicateness. And, making a dress out of this requires lots and lots of effort.
Because we are aware of the situation here, soft touch is only going to be made for show. Wearing it for more than an hour would only cause a wardrobe malfunction (I guess).
Since this is the first dress from my collection and our first time making it, we are quite determined and putting a lot of effort into it.
Anyway, the dress will be made soon.
So, stay put !!!!
ANGxx
